PRESENTATION

Berlin, as capital city of Germany, will welcome its 41st Marathon on the 29th of September : the past years, more than 32 000 runners came from all over the world for this race, and as many people to cheer them on. This marathon belongs to the 05 majors in the world.

The course is particularly flate, that’s why convenient for the records just how Patrick Makau confirmed us with an unbelievable time of 2:03:38 in 2011. Furthermore, this course is also cultural. The runners will start at the Tiergarten, main garten of the city, for an adventure which will make them visit the most important venues of the city center, just like the Reichstag, Berliner Dom, Fernsehturm, not to forget the Brandenbourg door and Potsdamer Square ; whether it be the old east side or it be it the new west part of the city. You’ll be shown the difference of urbanisation and you’ll be able to discoer the city in an funny way. The unfoegettable arrival will be on ‘Strasse des 17 Juni”, once again inside the Tiergarten, surrounded by an excited crowd.

Day 1 : Flight from your airport of Departure toward Berlin. Transfert (by rental car, taxi, shuttle) towards the city center. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2 : Breakfast at your hotel. Today, guided city tour : you’ll start by Alexander Square and its numerous shops, before going on with the Fernsehturm (TV Antenna), with an height of 368 meters (the highest one in the city), from which you’ll get an overall view on the city.

After that, you’ll be lead to the Brandenbourg Door, built by Carl Gotthard Langhans, example of the german classicism, and today place of festivals, sport events and New Eve’s parties. You’ll go for the Jewish Memorial, or for East Side Gallery, part of the fallen wall. You’ll get a sight of the outside part of the Reichstag also, place for meetings betwenn the assemblies for many years. Free afternoon for shopping for instance. Overnight.

 

Day 3 : Breakfast at your hotel. Time for picking up your bibs. Overnight.

 

Day 4 : Early breakfast. Beginning of the race. Relaxing at your hotel and overnight.

 

Day 5 : Breakfast at your hotel. Free time before being driven to the airport. Flight home.

 

Note : This is an example of a stay. We propose to our runners “a la carte” trips : you can choose your days of arrival and departure, visits or not, the board..
